(March 8, 2016 – New York, NY)
The Original LGBT Expo (http://thelgbtexpo.com
), the nation’s longest-running event of its kind, is proud to present a lineup of superstars from Broadway and beyond on its entertainment stage March 12th and 13th at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.
The star-studded lineup is appearing on behalf of Broadway Sings for Pride (http://broadwaysingsforpride.com
), an LGBT-Broadway non for profit group which educates the public, raise awareness of the needs of LGBTQ youth, and support these young people so that they may reach their full potential through song.
A schedule filled with non-stop performances over the two days, the LGBT Expo’s lineup is a virtual who’s who from the Great White Way. Constantine Maroulis, star of “American Idol” and the Broadway smash “Rock of Ages,” tops the list of incredible performers hitting the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, March 12th and 13th. The Tony Award nominated star recently returned to the television hit series for its final season, has also appeared in musical productions of “Jekyll and Hyde,” “Rent,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” and will be headlining the main stage at the LGBT Expo on Sunday, March 13 at 3pm.
Maroulis joins an incredible lineup of Broadway’s best performing at the 23rd edition for the nation’s longest running LGBT event. Both days, the expo is pleased to present Broadway Sings for Pride. Saturday’s showcase features Kara Lindsay (“Wicked,” “Newsies”) and N'Kenge (Broadway's "Motown: The Musical", "Sondheim on Sondheim”). On Sunday, it’s Constantine who is joined by another “Rock of Ages” star, Lauren Molina, who has also been seen in the “Sweeney Todd Revival.” They are just some of the many great artists hitting the stage.

ABOUT BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE:
Broadway Sings for Pride, a four-time nominee for "Most Valuable Campaign" & "Most Valuable Organizer" from the New Organizing Institute, is a non-for-profit organization that brings together Broadway talent, activists and celebrities to educate the public, raise awareness of the needs of LGBTQ youth, and support these young people so that they may reach their full potential. It achieves these goals by staging concerts and events that bring to light the challenges faced by these individuals, using the funds raised from these programs to aid LGBTQ youth and their families either directly or through supporting like-minded service organizations. In our 5th year, we have been honored by Wagner College (Citizen Alum Award 2015 Honoree), Long Island Gay and Lesbian Film Festival's 2015 Non-Profit Organization All-Star Award, Tyler Clementi Foundation's The Upstander Legacy Honoree Host Committee Member, and a four-time nominee for "Most Valuable Campaign" & "Most Valuable Organizer" from the New Organizing Institute.
Launched in June 2011, this non-profit grew out of the tragic suicides within the gay community, and we have received support from Neil Patrick Harris, Channing Tatum, Carol Channing, Bryan Cranston, Kathy Griffin, LeAnn Rimes, Bernadette Peters, Nathan Lane, Joy Behar, Wendy Williams and many others.
